I moved into Bear Creek in the fall of 2004 with hopes that my new apartment would be wonderful. However, I was dead wrong. The managment staff treats us like kids when they should consider us their customers. After all, we do the power to inform students that this place is a nightmare. Last Christmas, I had a difficult time picking up my Christmas presents from the front office because the staff decided to never show up during their posted holiday hours. After five times of trying to go to the office during their posted hours, I called up the contact number that was listed in the packet they give you when you move in. I called this number and I reached this student who said I had the wrong number and that I was the 45th person who has called him regarding problems with Bear Creek Apartments. Also, I could never count on receiving my mail until after 4pm. I think baboons would do a better job managing this apartment complex. One problem that I feel has been neglected time and time again is the fire alarms. They are always going off during the middle of the night because some individual feels it necessary to piss off all the residents. I have mentioned several times to the management staff to put up cameras or take some kind of intelligent action against this common disruption. However, they are still satisfied with us standing out in the cold at 3am waiting for the police and fire department to show up. I will raise hell though if the fire alarm goes off during finals week like it did last semester. Eventually, the management will soon find out that if you treat your tenants like crap, you will soon find your vacancy rate at 100%. They are already getting close...it's 40% now.
