Currently, I am writing this review from inside my one bedroom/one bathroom apartment at Break Creek. I have been here since August 2008 and really don't find it to be as bad as other people say it is. I have a car which is a plus so it's easy to get around when the buff bus is not avaliable (during the summer time - which is no good for those without transportation). I also like the fact that the places come furnished so you don't have to worry about buy/finding furniture and having to move it in (yikes!). Having a gym right next door is also a PLUS as well as having nice walking/biking paths if you are more outdoorsy. Unfortunately when I first arrived to my apartment (sight unseen) my room was a PIG STY but after mentioning it to the front desk it was cleaned that day so when I returned - it was spotless! I have found some duct tape on the window in the bedroom which does not allow me to open the window but in the summer when the AC is on, there is no need... Oh and I must mention about the AC that it only works when it's 70 degrees or higher outside - so the month of April & May it's quite hot in the rooms. Overall I feel generally safe in this apartment except when the fire alarm goes off at 2 am (which happens about 5 times a year - during school session) due to drunk idiots playing with fire extinguishers. All in All I would recommend this apartment to anyone... unless you are not willing to shell out the HEFTY rent every month (that's another LARGE DOWNER).
PROS:
- Everything is included in rent: TV, CABLE (good channel line up with 4 HBO channels), WATER, ELECTRICITY,SEWER,TRASH ROOM, TANNING BED, GYM, GAME ROOM, BUSINESS CENTER, STUDY ROOMS, PARKING (a bit of an extra fee)
- AC works when it's 70 degrees outside
- Fridge comes with ice maker
- All Appliances are intact
- Generally clean environment (weekly cleaning service)
- Front desk is nice & helpful
- The trash room on each floor is amazing
CONS:
- Expensive Rent
- Drunken Idiots
- My room is next to the elevator which causes people to congregate near there (but only for a few minutes)
- The elevator is slow
- The trash room is very close to my room and the people who take it out do it at a VERY early hour
- Not the thickest walls in the world
- No rule stating that music has to be turned down... although, maybe there is.

Cleaning Service = I mean in the hall ways not the apartments
