Completely Awful: The TRUE Story

Regarding the comments made by this person, readers should know that the REAL story is as follows: During the winter break of this year, this student left her apartment for an extended time and turned her heat completely off. This negligence caused the dishwasher water line to freeze and subsequently burst, flooding not only her apartment, but the adjoining neighbors' apartments as well. As a result of this tenant's ignorance, Boardwalk Realty had to spend hundreds of dollars to clean up the flood, in addition to replacing the dishwasher. As a courtesey, Boardwalk employees even took the time to try and salvage the tenant's personal property from sustaining further water damage prior to her return to the apartment. Boardwalk Realty asked NOTHING from this tenant with respect to the damages the company suffered, even though she was entirely at fault. Amazingly, she then broke her lease with Boardwalk when the school semester ended because she did'nt want to pay her rent through her contract obligation to the end of August. This person's absurd and dishonest review of Boardwalk Realty just goes to show to what length some people will go to avoid responsibility for their actions, and in this case place blame on and slander a very reputable company. What this person did, is, truly, COMPLETELY AWFUL!

Ummmm before you try to disparage tenants, you need to find out the real facts. tenants are not responsible for things like pipes - that it completely management's responsibility. She probably thought she was being responsible by turning off the heat, and ANY COURT WOULD SEE IT THAT WAY. In fact, she turned off the heat because she was paying for it. I'm a landlord myself, and it makes me so upset to read things like this, where landlords try to blame their tenants for the consequences of their own irresposibility.

This is complete --------.. I turn off my heat because Boardwalk Realty has recently started to make me pay for it.. landlords are responsibile for their pipes and appliances.. and if you are going to charge me for heat I am going to turn it off when I'm not there.. you are the one's responsible for making sure the pipes don't explode... Boardwalk Realty is a company completely full of ----.. and as a manager or employee of Boardwalk, you cannot write reviews of your own company and post them to the website..
