HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY.

I've been living in my aparment for only 4 months of my 12 month lease and I'm already so fed up I wish I could terminate the lease. I have put in 5 work orders since I moved in and only 2 have been fullfilled. For every work order I've called 5 or more times. For example, it took 8 calls and 3 months to get my screens replaced. My toilet was broken for two weeks before it was fixed. My disposal has been broken for 2.5 months and no one has come out to fix it. My lights in my bedroom and my kitchen sprayer are both broken and neither has been fixed. My heater broke and it wasn't until 6 days later that anyone came out to fix it.

I've called more times than I can remember and I've always talked to the same women. Every time I call, she is very nice and pretends she has never heard about the problems that I have been having and that she will do everything she can to get them fixed. But when I call two days later because I haven't heard anything from her, she starts over.

When I finally got so fed up that I couldn't stand to talk to them anymore, I had my mother call the office. At first, the manager refused to talk to her and then when he finally got on the phone, he hung up on her after only a few short minutes of talking. Then when he tried to call me back and couldn't reach me, he called my mother back, talked to her for a short time and hung up on her AGAIN...

I'm paying way too much rent for such a ------ little apartment and a horrible apartment company.

Month 9: It's been 9 months since I moved into this horrendous apartment and my experience hasn't gotten any better. There is absolutely no grace period for paying rent: it is due by the first of the month or you are charged a $40 late fee. Also I live on the underground level on my apartment complex and therefore it gets really dark during the evenings because there are no street lights. The lights that usually go on outside my door have been out for two weeks so I have to stumble down the steps and find my lock with the light from my cellphone to open my door when I get home after dark. I've called and they haven't replaced the bulbs or fixed the lights.

Also, the area I live in is dirty and the yard is not well kept. I have to park my car in a disgusting alley behind my apartment and almost constantly there are people going through the dumpster I put my trash in. My neighbors all smoke and everytime they open their doors the external hallway to my door, outside and sometimes even my apartment reek of stale ciggarette smoke.

To top of the horrendous bill I'm paying to live in my tiny apartment.. very recently I started recieving electric bills... I lived there for almost 7 months before I was notified that I would be paying electric bills. Because I have been trying to work out with Boardwalk why I suddenly have to pay electric bills... the company has threatened to turn off my electricity... this company is a NIGHTMARE!!
