I would never in my life rent from Boardwalk again. My roommate and I settled on our apartment on Broadway and Elder because we were having trouble renting a place in July that allowed cats; obviously, our fault for waiting so late, I would never have rented a place for $600/person so far from campus if I didn't really have a choice.

These things aren't exactly Boardwalk's fault. It is their fault, however, that screens were not installed in our windows before move-in as promised, or that it took MONTHS to get this accomplished. Unknown to my roommate and me upon move-in, the dishwasher does not work. This isn't usually something you test when being shown an apartment. When we realized our dishes were disgusting after "washing" them, we alerted Boardwalk and found out, to paraphrase, that many dishwashers in our building are just old, and everyone knows it, but here are a few tips to help it run better. The tips didn't help at all, and no one will be washing dishes in this dishwasher until it is replaced.

We also had our silverware drawer break into two pieces and, after calling Boardwalk and having them "put in a work order" for it, a week or so later my roommate physically took the drawer to their office so that someone would fix it before the work order got lost. Another week later we got it back, sloppily glued together.

Never have I paid so much for so little; never have I been treated this way by apartment owners. I am thoroughly disgusted with Boardwalk's apathy and indifference towards its tenants.
