I lived in the Bluffs Apartments for 11 years until 2000 when it became Boulder Creek. Good location across from King Soopers and near library but that is all I can say.
AIMCO has managed the place the entire time and there was constant turnover in personnel. I beleive for most of the time it was owned by Terry Considine, local Colorado Republican and for all I know may still be. I didnt have so much as a single late payment in 11 years but was, I thought, often treated badly. Maintenance was very poor, until they decided in 2000 to redevelop the place (after one of the buildings caught on fire). Rents were then raised dramatically and I was forced to move.
The Bluffs was a good argument for socialism. Some government agency should have taken control away from AIMCO. But that will never happen.
And oh yes, the "Boulder Creek Apartments" is next to Bear Creek, not Boulder Creek. And yes, it floods in the spring. The entire complex is on a flood plane. The back parking lot was often under a foot or more of water. I wasnt flooded out but someday the entire place will be.
