truly awful management

it is incredibly sad to see such a nice building being managed so poorly. the staff seems to be extremely inexperienced and very immature at handling tough situations.
case and point, i arrived yesterday to see my car covered in plastic due to the painting they are doing to the building. as much as i appreciate the painting company's consideration towards my car, the job they did at covering it was infuriating, my antenna was bended and they taped the plastic on my car with construction tape. i would have preferred a letter letting me know that my building was going to be painted so i could have move the car out of the way. i tried to call the office but the phone rang and rang, an nobody picked up (during their normal business hours) i called again and was told that they had sent a letter about it; the letter was sent on 3/19/09, and just said they would be painting, nothing about cars being covered in plastic, i would have loved receiving another letter either explaining the procedures they would take or even better, one right before they started painting my building. it's just common courtesy and builds a better relationship with the tenants.
i am also disappointed at how repairs are handled, it took 5 days to get the lights in the staircase changed; the answer the property manager gave me was that the maintenance person was not there on Saturdays. i tried to explain to her that i had left a message on Thursday night and inquired why the repair was not done on Friday, she had no answer but in a very condescending way that the repair was scheduled and would be done that Monday. That Monday night the lights were still out, and were not repaired until Tuesday, which made going up and down the stairs incredibly dangerous. when i spoke to the manager on tuesday, and explained to her that they were not taking care of a hazardous situation, all she had to say in return was that the lights had been repaired that day, not apology or explanation as to why it took so long to fix the problem.
i tried to call the main company, but after leaving 2 messages that were not returned i gave up; it became obvious that tenants did not matter to them. it is unfortunate but the manager's behavior and attitude seems to be a reflection of the whole company, what a shame.
as much as i enjoy the apartment, all the tribulations that come with it are not worth it, i will be moving once my lease is up. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

We are working very hard to improve the quality of living at The Boulders. We had sent out numerous letter informing of our projects along with the contractors letters they have posted. The contractors cover cars when they are not moved as a courtesy. We want to maintain relationships with all of the residents of the community. We are all experienced in our positions and not here to make things complicated. We are all very caring people and would really like to be given a chance. We understand that change is always hard. We are all here to improve the quality of your home.

The review is completely accurate, and this response is such a completely lame attempt at authenticity. The facts of life at The Boulders under new recent management totally paint a depressing and uninviting picture. Read my review with my own experiences.

what a lame attempt at an answer, just proves the new management does not care and is full of excuses.
i have the letters they claimed they sent out, they are from march 19 or before, a nice reminder would have been nice, but they won't acknowledge the way they handle the whole renovation was not the best.
the contractors wouldn't have to cover the cars, if we residents would receive a note once our building is about to be painted. it's called common courtesy, maybe the new management with all the experience they claim to have should take a class about it.
change doesn't need to be hard, it all depends how it is being handled, and unfortunately the new management is not doing a great job at it.
