Very nice but expensive apartment homes

First of all, I have had very positive dealings with the entire management staff at Canterwood. They are very friendly and respond quickly and professionally to their tenents.
Canterwood is a very nice apartment complex with two drawbacks. First, it is expensive, especially for a one bedroom apartment. That being said, my rent has remained relatively stable between leases, and I appreciate having my own garage and washer and dryer. Also, this was definitely one of the largest one-bedroom floorplans available in Boulder, which is great.
The second drawback to living in Canterwood is the thin walls. Fortunately, all of my neighbors are pretty quiet, so this has rarely been an inconvenience. Specifically, during my first year at Canterwood, I may have had two nights of sleep deprivation. If a new neighbor was very noisy, that issue would need to be dealt with effectively.
Young professionals, graduate students, families and some elderly tenents live at Canterwood. It's definitely not a future location for MTV's The Real World, but it never has attempted to be one.
That being said, Canterwood can be a fun place to live. Canterwood's 'clubhouse' (which its residents may reserve for their private use) is actually much nicer than most and is used to good effect. The management serves monthly brunches and bi-monthly parties (that are actually well-attended and fun) either at the pool or in the clubhouse. The residents are friendly, and I personally feel very safe here, even with a first floor apartment. Its landscaping is certainly one of the best in Boulder.
Overall, Canterwood is worth the price if you can afford it.
