I lived at this apartment for several years. Its price is typical of the Boulder area- it's high. However, there are some nice amenities, such as a swimming pool, jaccuzi, sauna, and workout room.
The top floor apartments are nice and have a nice, bright feeling. The regular parties thrown by the management staff, with tasty foods and even wine, are pleasant and a good way to meet your neighbors.
The maintenance staff is pretty nice, but I can't say the same for the manager of the building. From the moment we arrived, she was extremely rude and prejudicial against us as graduate students because we quote 'didn't fit the profile' of their building. She actually suggested we try across the street at a slum like apartment building. However, because we like the apartment we persisted and ended up renting an apartment from them. Despite the length of our residence, and the fact that we never threw parties, the management persisted in having a bad attitude.
We had several serious problems with the apartment while living there- the grout in the shower fell apart and our shower was covered in plastic and duct tape for several months (by the maintenance staff) while they struggled to find someone to repair it professionally (for the low price they were offering). Given the high rent we were paying, it was ridiculous. The apartment was not built with high quality materials, as you can see from looking at how the cabinets etc. are constructed.
Despite our every effort when moving out, the management had a bad attitude and took 'photos' of any damage they could find to the apartment. Given the long amount of time we lived there with pets and our ready willingness to pay for any damage (As well as the fact that the carpet was not perfect when we moved in)- this seemed unnecessary. All in all, the apartment was nice, but the management left a bad taste in our mouth.
Oh- and watch out for the unreasonably noisy leaf blowing early in the morning. 5, 6, 7am... it's all the same to them.
