We have been living here for a little over a year now and have good and bad things to say about Canterwood.
First the negatives: First and foremost, the prices are out of control and too high and seems to vary from renter to renter. We ended up paying well over $100 more than listed and that was after the special "deal." They charge for parking and the garage MUST be used to house your vehicle and cannot be used for any other purpose such as storage. They also don't salt the staircases after a heavy snow, but will after a light snow after it has all melted away. Stairs also NEED some sort of grip tape to avoid slippage when wet. If you're a student at CU, don't expect to have many parties that are loud since they pride themselves as being a quiet community.
Positives: Can't really complain about the quality of the apartment. Aside from two minor problems, the apartment is in great shape. Everything works fine and when something needs fixing or replacing, maintenance gets to it fairly quickly. Nice staff overall, nice gym, and clubhouse. They will also accept packages if you're away or unavailable to pick up packages. Also their are several community events organized by the management, including monthly Saturday brunches and seasonal parties (halloween, Oktoberfest, etc.).
Overall, if you're willing to spend the money, especially for the nicer apartments, and are quiet and not easily annoyed, than this place should be fine for you. The complaints are often minor, at best, but they add up and we'll be done with this place when I'm finished with school at the end of the semester. Again, I can't really complain about the quality of the apartment itself and, of course, situations differ from person to person, so ask questions and really be anal about EVERY SINGLE DETAIL before signing that lease.
