Canterwood Apartments

nice, quiet place to live - i miss it From: michelleinboulder Date posted: 4/6/2007 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006   I lived at Canterwood for a 1 1/2 years and don't really have any major complaints. I'm a professional and I actually appreciated that there weren't a lot of students. I've since moved into a building downtown and there's a lot of younger people and it's a lot louder here. I relocated to Boulder and the office staff helped me alot with organzing before I arrived. I went to some of their breakfasts and met new people there. I only used the gym a couple of times but it was clean when i was there. The hot tub was broken for a really long time but I never would've used a community tub anyway so I didn't mind. I had my own laundry room with a full-size washer dryer and lots of storage space. There was also a storage closet off my balcony. I never had a noise problem with my neighbors, which I really loved. I know someone in one of the other buildings and they had a frequent noise problem with one of the tenants. When it came time for that tenant to renew the lease, management declined to renew them. So I'm sure the noise-makers hated management but everyone else loved them for that! One drawback was occasional lack of parking due to people letting their friends park in the lot instead of the street. And I felt they nit-picked when I moved out and charged me for a couple things I didn't deserve so be careful to fill out the move-in questionnaire in detail!! Also, my rent went up each time I re-signed a lease, even though new people were moving in at the lower price. I miss Canterwood. It was a very pretty, quiet location. I really liked the office staff. UPS was accidentally delivering packages to me there after I moved and instead of rejecting the packages, the office called me at my new place and let me know to come to Canterwood and get them. The maintenance staff was also friendly. I highly recommend Canterwood for professionals who will appreciate the atmosphere more than most students will.
