i just signed a new lease, and while i haven't moved in yet (and i will post another review after having lived there for a while), the management has been nothing but wonderful. i came to view the apartment unannounced, and lee locked up the whole office to show us a place and around the community.
When we came back to turn in our application, dawn was wonderful... so nice and understanding. i asked a lot of question (as i've rented from people like boulder property management-- who are notorious for screwing you over, i've learned to read the lease VERY carefully and ask a lot of questions), and dawn explained everything-- and it all seemed reasonable. if you have a lease there for longer than 12 months or longer (i have a 12.5 month lease), they will replace the carpeting, without charge, automatically (we will have to see if they keep up with that)-- while in boulder the law is that they have to replace it free of charge to the tenant with a 13 month lease.
my roommate is also moving from florida, and they have had no problem faxing the lease to him and letting him mail it back...

i'm paying about 1100 a month, including parking, for the best 2bed/2bath, 2 balcony! which is 1000sq feet ... this includes water/sewer/trash and parking... this is NOT EXPENSIVE for boulder.

go try and find comperable something on the hill or in north boulder for less than 1400! i dare you!

now, for anyone who thinks i'm a canterwood employee or cronie, think what you want, but i'm just a CU student who's being treated pretty damn well.

interesting that you end your review with a plea for innocence... sort of weird and the thought that you work for canterwood had not entered my mind until i read that sentence. Incidentally, I'm now sure that you do work for them... maybe be a little more subtle next time? If that's your maturity level, I can see WHY canterwood requires cosigners for students. Also incidentally, I lived in Canterwood for over a year and loved the layout, management, staff, location, and apartments.

"plea for innocence?" hardly. more like there are countless people who are hit-and-run posters who certainly seem like they're managment ("this place is great, live here" "friendly mom and pop business" etc). considering my post reflects a 100% positive experience with the company, which few before me had, i thought i would be nice enough to explain who i am and where i'm coming from. excuse me if you took it the wrong way, it doesn't look like anyone else did. i have been living here for 8 months now, and i LOVE IT. it's amazing-- the hot tub is never broken, the workout room is never busy, maintenance gets to my apartment in less than an hour when i call the office if there's a problem (a couple toilet issues, that's it), and there's always parking. my boyfriend sometimes works nights and even when he gets home at 5am, there are spots outside our building. now that it's snowed, i can tell you that they're great about shoveling the walkways, and keeping everything safe-- lots of salt and lots of people working. during the fall, every friday they had a landscaper come in and take care of the grounds. after having lived in 3 separate places before this, i can honestly say i've never experienced upkeep like this place. they keep making awesome upgrades-- painting the exterior all 12 (i think there are 12 buildings, either 11 or 12) buildings, replacing all the exterior light fixtures (for my 2 bedroom apartment, that 3 different light fixtures, 2 on each balcony and 1 outside the front door) and for the record, despite being a student, i didn't have to have a cosigner because i have good credit-- it's not a matter of how old someone is, but how good their credit rating is. if you're 40 and have poor credit, good luck signing here. bottom line, if you're sick of living in ---- that students are normally given, move here.
