Canterwood Apartments

not recommended. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 2/8/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008 1 response   I signed a seven month lease with Canterwood, and I knew right away it was a bad idea. The lease is practically a book, and by the end you pretty much know that you have no rights, and they have all the power. Good luck to you if you've got to break your lease for any reason...it's ludicrous how much they penalize you (basically, imagine paying rent for however many months you have left plus a bunch of money). They charge monthly for parking and the spaces are insanely small. It's also in the fine print that you have to tell them you're leaving 60 days in advance of when your lease ends (like it's not their job to keep track of leases), or they penalize you for that. It's been 2 and a half months since I moved out and I'm STILL waiting on my deposit check, and they act like that's perfectly reasonable. You can do better. Learn from my mistake.
