We had two separate apartments. The first apartment was on garden level and we had a constant problem with kids running up and down the corridors screaming and banging on or staring in the windows. The kids would play on our motorcycle under parent supervision. Maintenance issues were poorly addressed including sewage drainage into the apartment. Maintenance would often come and check the wrong appliance/fixture when expressly noted. Most of the problems originated in the second apartment. When transferring to larger apartment, staff would not let us see the apartment and the old apartment was rented before the new apartment was even ready. The new apartment came without blinds and a stove and was filthy. We had to clean grime out of the kitchen (smelled) before unpacking. The blinds did not fit the window correctly due to building shifting so there was little privacy. The single pane windows do not provide adequate insulation in the winter and we could not leave our windows open in the summer because they faced the walkway. Management kept promising things and never followed through. Management changed and somehow the issues that we faced were never communicated to the new staff and each time we would call we would have to explain it all over again. The apartment community was shady at best. Very disreputable individuals staring and catcalling people were abundant and staff told us of a stalking incident immediately after signing the lease. We had a pipe bomb incident in the building across the street and the neighbors were constantly partying. People would throw beer bottles at cars and I found blood on my car at one point. It was constant noise from the neighbor??s bass and the barking dogs. People would let their dogs off leash and never clean up after them despite complaints to management. During the winter, snow and ice were not removed properly and it was treacherous getting around. Because of poor construction of building, local internet providers can not support high speed internet within some apartments. The maintenance staff decided to paint the apartment adjacent to us without proper ventilation and due to poor construction of building, paint fumes built up in our apartment and nearly killed our pets. In addition, holes in interior walls allow to air to flow between apartments so our apartment constantly reeked of other people??s meals. Management would constantly turn off hot water without notifying residents who paid for water, which forced us to have to not shower on several occasions. These are only some of the issues that we faced while living here. We would not recommend this apartment community under any circumstances.
