Bad reputation is unfair From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/19/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007 1 response   I read the terrible reviews of Cavalier before moving there in Aug. 2006. I was concerned about the reviews but needed a place for short-term rental (6 months). The staff was very flexible and accommodated my short-term rental needs, plus they extended my lease for a couple of extra months. Most places are not as willing to work with you on this. I did not have a single problem there despite lots of reviews that people loiter and make lots of noise. I was in the west-most building and it was very quiet, especially at night. Yes, there are a lot of children there, but I only had problems with noise at night twice. They also have a security patrol that comes through the parking lot at regular intervals. That really helps cut down on people who don't live in the building taking your parking spot. In fact, that was never an issue- I always found a parking spot. People living there did not bother me or cause any problems. When I needed maintenance on my unit a couple of times, it was taken care of in a timely manner. The staff is very friendly and professional, and I received my deposit back in full only a month after I moved out. How often can you say that about an apartment management company' I think Cavalier is the best value for the money in Boulder and I felt very safe there!
