I think it's worth it...

This is definitely a cheap place to live, and there are downfalls to that. But overall, I had a very good experience. I lived at Cavalier for a year and did not regret it. It can be noisy, but it's not just Cavalier residents. Many of the Spanish Tower folks were much more of a disturbance. They keep the place (parking lot, stair and walk ways, etc) very tidy. And if something breaks, it can be fixed within a day or so. Most of the neighbors keep to themselves inside their homes, but some hang out on the "patio." There are a lot of kids but I would never describe them as nasty or unruly. They're kids. So if you are looking for an inexpensive place to live with at least three bus routes close by and walking distance to campus and a grocery store, I recommend Cavalier.
Oh and I never had a bug problem.
