bugs, bugs, and more bugs...

Bud bug problem has NOT been resolved!!! Our apartment is VERY clean, however we still got bed bugs in our place after living here for about 3 months (never having had any problems before living here), management told us we were not the first case, but saw no reason to notify other residents that bed bugs were in the building (and like most bugs, they can easily travel btw apartments).
Management is horrible, the head manager in particular.
Parking is fine if you want to park in the middle of the day, but the later it gets the harder it is, and by about 9pm you are very lucky to get a space, and any space you find will probably be in the back, not well lit, parking lot.
This place is definitely the ghetto of Boulder - paper thin walls and ceilings (bad for noise and insulation), very old buildings with very old (and noisy) plumbing, and lots of bug problems (in addition to the bed bug problem, we also had problems with ants and roaches when we first moved in).
I am counting the days until our lease is up!!!

The management is great, they can only do so much in situations! Have you actually talked to a exterminator about bed bugs, maybe you should get more educated from a professional and not the computer! As far as the parking, it is community living, if you want your own space, rent a house or a carport! The buildings are old, ITS BOULDER!!!!!!!!! What do you expect? If you have bed bugs, throw away your mattress! I live here, and think it is a great place. The price for what you get is great. I will continue to renew my lease, and I recomend this place to anyone!!

We would like to address the comment about bed bugs on our property. We have during the life of the property had 3 cases, all of which were brought in by the resident unintentionally. They are a challenge to get rid of but with persistence they are not impossible. We have no problem at this time and have not since last year. Each of the cases are isolated and taken care of by management and an outside pest control company that is very knowable about them. Please visit http://www.mrbugaboo.com/ more information from our exterminators.

When I lived on a ground floor apartment there were a lot of ants, but management rectified the situation and they do have an annual inspection to make sure there aren't any bug problems. If you bring a case to their attention I'm sure they would do all they could to fix the problem. When my roommate and I moved up to a 4th floor apartment we didn't have any bug problems (except fruit flies, but those went away when we started to make sure we weren't leaving fruit out on the counter...)
