Good, quiet neighborhood. You get what you pay for.

I have lived in a couple apartment complexes around Boulder, and have come to use the Habitat as the measuring stick for all the others.
The apartments were very large and simple (we rented here before they started renovating), and the prices were good for what you get.
They were some of the cheapest apartments we found, but they were also the largest.
We were willing to trade luxury for space, and it worked out very well for us.
Neighbors were quiet, and the indoor hallways were a plus.
We had the 2 bedroom deluxe unit without a fireplace.
The master bedroom was huge! It was really great to have so much space.
Closet space also wasn't an issue.
The deck had walls on three sides, which made it so it wouldn't get snowy or rainy, and you could go outside anytime regardless of weather.
There was wear on the inside of the unit, but it never got in the way.
If anything broke, maintenance would be up within a couple hours to fix it, and they were always very friendly.
I'm still impressed with that.
I was actually comfortable with the maintenance staff.
We rarely heard our neighbors, only the front door occasionally.
We were on the third floor, so there was no one above us.
There was no street noise, and we were next to the green belt, so there was a nice view.
The unit was relatively cheap to heat.
Occasionally, the hallways would have an unusual "funk", and you can always tell what the neighbors are cooking if you're in the hall.
But, the smells never transferred into the apartment so I never had a problem with it.They are pet friendly, and I didn't have any issues with the dog poo.
Some laundry machines were broken, but there were always enough working machines to keep everything going.
I think I had to wait for a few minutes once in 9 months of living there.
Even after we gave Habitat our 30 days, they were extremely polite.
When we didn't get out entire deposit back (we spent two full days cleaning, and knew it was spotless), I called them and they returned the rest of the money very promptly, without any nagging or hassle.
We left because we wanted something a little more luxurious, and, as a cook and a woman, the bathrooms and kitchen were way too small for me.
But we have nothing but fond memories for the Habitat, and would recommend it to anyone on a budget who still wants a good place.
You really do get your moneys worth here!
