5 years of hell

I lived here for 5 years only because the rent became so high I couldn't afford to move. Lack of good management and the terrifying maintenance man made my life hell. I would rather live in a cardboard box than go back there. I figured out that I spent over 80K dollars there in 5 years. Take your money where they appreciate it.

Hello, this is the 'terrifying' maint man here. $80k in 5 years? Let's do some math. That means you were paying over $1,300 a month for a 1-BR? Hmm. As I recall, a 1-BR goes for $800-$900. You must be figuring in your drug and booze bill. Yep, it was 'terrifying' for me and my family as well (also see 3/17/04 review). My wife and daughter were terrorized by drunken and doped-up college students. But as you say, management will take your money anyway. A high turnover of students is very profitable. Carpet and drywall is cheap in the long run. The only tenants I 'terrified' were the drunks and druggies that knew I complained about them. As a side note, my family was also terrorized by an Anti-Semite there, but they took her money too. Maint. persons and their families are expendable at The Hub. Ironically, I agree with you. I'm happy I got my family out of there. For the real scoop: sparky2mj@yahoo.com
