After the refurbishing, the building is a nice place to live. Unfortunately, there are some catches. The walls are very thin and if you happen to be located next to a student, which I was, then be prepared to either lose some sleep or complain a lot.
There is also the fact that the utility bills are not individual - everyone pays a portion of the entire bill. Thus, if you are trying to conserve and save money you are out of luck. For instance, I just received my bill for May utilites and it was $38.40 on top of my own Xcel bill for $15. In my opinion, that is pretty high for a 615 sqft. unit on the second floor. Furthermore, you are forced into a community bulk cable agreement for $25 a month. This can be good, but for me it wasn't since I never got much of a chance to watch cable.
The new management will hopefully add some stability, although the monthly statements are pretty inconsistent and often contain errors. However, as others have said, it is a great location and a nice building.
