Except for the ants, I am happy at Meadow Creek. I have been fighting the ants for about 18 months. Right now, they are under control. However, I have an ant hill under my bedroom window and was told by the exterminator last fall that as soon as spring comes, they will come back out.

I have found the office staff and maintenance staff to be most helpful. Every problem I have ever called about has been handled within 48 hours. Luckily, I've never had a water problem like some are reporting. Yes, they get me each month for my two cats, but a lot of places won't even take them. These were by far the largest apartments I found in my search two years ago. I plan to stick around.

Management did evict some people from an apartment in my building recently. They deserved it. I do wish I didn't share a ventilation system with my neighbors. I had a smoker and it smelled like smoke in my place. To me, that smell is far worse than what I had to pay for a non-refundable pet deodorization fee. Yet, smokers don't have to pay this kind of fee.

Edited to add that I moved out August 31 and received my deposit refund today. All that was taken out were the utilities that I legitimately owed.
