I just moved in a few months ago and I've had nothing but problems. Almost every water-related appliance was broken or defective in some way, and the air conditioning unit has leaked all over my closet causing severe water damage. There is also mold in the closet that seems to have been there a while behind the leaky A/C, which they have still not bothered to do anything about even though they came in to fix the A/C unit last week.

Every maintenance requests seems to take three or four calls before they do anything about it (even schedule a visit). Forget about leaving a message -- they will ignore it. On the bright side, the emergency maintenance service DOES work--when foul water backed up out of my sink, the off-duty maintenance workers were here within an hour to clean up the floors and fix the sink.

The initial apartment showing was also misleading -- the apartment they leased to me was grungier and uglier-looking than the one they showed me before the lease. The staff seemed eager to pressure me into leasing. I should have taken that as a cue that the place was horrible.

I was also initially misled about allowed dog breeds. When I inquired again as a resident when I was looking for a dog to buy, I found that dog breeds I had been told were allowed (German shepherds and dobermans) were not actually allowed, by company-wide policy in fact.

FELLOW RENTERS TAKE NOTE: while looking up the dog policy with AIMCO, I found out that for every day maintenance does not get back to you, you are supposed to be getting your rent refunded. THIS IS AN AIMCO COMPANY-WIDE POLICY. Keep note off the number of days the job doesn't get done and charge them for it. This is the only way we can get them to improve service.

Every water issue you've mentioned, I have experienced. Wonder if it's the same building.
