My daughter and I applied online (I as the cosigner) and the last step asked for a credit card for a $26 application fee or $13x2 for my daughter and me. I found out only later by checking my credit card statement that the parent company, Aimco, had charged my account a $199 deposit fee plus a $92 application fee. I got the $199 back but they kept the $92. I found out only much later after getting a run around that the $26 was an expired special still being "mistakenly" promoted on the website. I would not submit to any charges or give my credit card information to Aimco; you may end up financing their office Christmas party.
