Wow! I can't believe this website! It's the host for a bunch of people who do not know how to deal with their own problems or who are miserable in their own lives and like to be vindictive. It is obvious people would rather complain than give a compliment, I would have to say this is an unfair view of true "apartment ratings". I have always found that if you are willing to speak to the person with whom you have a problem with, more gets accomplished......opposed to posting a cowardly/slanderous response or rating on a meaningless website.
FYI-Here is a copy of the websites disclaimer found in small writing at the bottom of this page: No attempt has been made to verify or assure the accuracy of the claims made by the author of this opinion or responses. You must judge the truthfulness of any review and accept responsibility for your use of this information. I would compare this website to the gossip magazines you find in the supermarket (you know the ones you laugh at because they are soooooo ridiculous)!!
Seriously, if you are a prospective resident and you are letting these types of websites influence you with negativity, I suggest that you call the company and ask questions first before you decide to over look them because of these silly, unproven, biased comments..
My name is Michelle, I have worked for the company for a long time and I can honestly say that I love my job and I like the people I work with. Bonnie is a wonderful person, she is very approachable and willing to look at things from your prospective. I have never been asked to do anything unethical like fabricating reasons to keep security deposits. We only charge the past resident what it costs us to return the apartment to the condition as when they moved in. Why should we absorb that cost???
When a new resident moves in, they are fully aware that when they move out they will need to have the drapes and the carpets professionally cleaned at their expense. This is no secret, it is our policy. It is printed in black and white on our Rules and Regulations.
People need to take responsibility for their own actions. If you owned your own home, would you expect the mortgage company to pay for your carpet when your cat ripped it up or urinated on it?? Or do you call them when your house needs to be cleaned? Just because you rent, it doesn’t mean you can abuse the premises and then claim normal wear and tear.

Ironic that Michelle is the daughter of one of the previous property managers (who has been fired and rehired so many times, it's laughable!), so of COURSE she's going to respond in this way. Her job depends on sucking up to the owner and faux-defending this pathetic company and its underhanded activities. Do you take responsibility for your actions, Michelle? No, and we can be specific if you'd like. The property you currently mismanage has gone into the toilet, just like the others in this company. Nice try with that "holier than thou" attitude, but it just doesn't cut it. If every person called the used car salesmen who staff UPM, they'd surely get a con job just like people have by you and your ilk since this company began managing slums thirty years ago. You are a liar. Take responsibility for THAT.
