please read all - there was a bomb threat in these apts !

* No background checks - cheap rent attracts all sorts of people - and i think as there is this greed with this management - i dont think they do thier background checks seriously...some of the people on this property to have a criminal record !! and i dont know how the management lets this slip by. Dont be fooled by the "BACKGROUND CHECK" they do when you apply to sign a lease - the secretary is playing pinball and chattin on AIM while there is a certain score that comes back to them ( which doesnt matter anyway because they will let you in REGARDLESS ! ) I would definitely ask every female individual to think twice or to make sure that they know someone around before they join this establishment.

* BOMB SCARE AROUND A MONTH AGO - so if you didnt believe my statement about the useless background checks - there was a bomb scare at the apartments about a month ago ! some kid on the first floor ( east side of the building ) had made a home made BOMB ! the boulder pd evacuated the whole building and had a BOMB sqd come in to extract the bomb !! - Do ask the manager about this - she can not deny this - also if she does - please do not hesitate to email me and i will SEND YOU PICTURES !!!

* The main office is run by a bunch of immature college students - they dont take anything seriously or are just plain lazy ( I needed a lot of maintenance work over the year and it never got done until i showed up to the main office and requested the manager to get it done !)

* When they mention security - note the doors on the east and west side of the building - they are open / unlocked 24 HOURS

* Poor treatment of ethnic minorities ! - the staff at the peaks have no respect for Foreign clients - I have witnessed this while waiting in the office - the MANAGER and the SECRATARY passed racist remarks about a foreign client who visited the office !

* Pets are all over the place - the management chooses to look the other way when it clearly states on their contract that there are no pets allowed on the property - i had an issue of a suite mate who had a dog - and i aint the kind of person to go and dob him in - but the dog was left in the apartment and had left its excrements all over the place!!! - what do you care ' YOU COULD END UP WITH A SIMILAR SUITE MATE!!!

* Surrounding areas - behind the east car park - there are homes facing the street - every 2 days there are COPS that show up arresting people or just passing by to make sure that there is no trouble. On the south side are the most shady apartments in BOULDER ( you should just check them out ! - words aint enough ! ).

* Not helpful when you have a genuine problem with a suitemate - so when i had a problem with a roomate who had gun shots being fired at him through his bedroom window and his dog leaving s*** all over the place - the manager DIDNT THINK IT WAS SERIOUS ENOUGH - i had to hire a few legal advocates to help me move out of that APT !!!

* The maintenance is the ONLY POSITIVE thing about these apartments - when you complain FINALLY goes through to the right person - the job is attended to Immediately
