As an employee of the previous owner and management company of Tantra Lake, I was shocked to read some of the reviews written on this site. The company I work for managed Tantra Lake for different owners for almost 20 years before selling to the current owners.
I will not comment on most of the current complaints that I have read simply because I have not visited the property since it was sold and therefore am not qualified to do so.
I will be the first to say that property managment is neither a glamorous or high paying career. Property Managers and Owners are trying to run a business for profit, which honestly is extremely difficult with the current market conditions. We received our fair share of complaints on this site during the time we managed it as well, and if you do a little research on the site, youll notice that the majority of the ratings are negative...for every community. I can say however, that most property managers will (or should) respond well to residents who come in (or put in writing) their constructive critisisms AND suggestions for improvements. Typically there are more "problem finders" than there are "problem solvers". If you have a complaint, why not offer a fair solution to the problem'
Everyone who enters into a legal lease agreement should be encouraged to read and understand the lease before they sign it. I can tell you that most Property Managers spend 90% of their time dealing with the 10% or so of residents who are not willing to follow the rules of the lease and that often leaves the residents who do pay their rent on time and follow the rules feeling neglected. For this we are sorry.
I can agree with a lot of people on this site that Tantra Lake does have some disadvantages due to the year it was built. However, it does have 26 beautiful acres surrounding it, which you certainly wont find on a property being built today in Colorado.
Again, I cant say that I know or understand what is happening at Tantra today, but I would encourage anyone who is unhappy to use this forum to offer some constructive suggestions so that all of us in this industry can strive to do a better job.
Thank you.
