Thunderbird Apartments

sketchy From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/3/2006 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003   My husband and I lived in these apartments for 2 1/2 years. Yes, the location in good (if you don't mind listening to all the traffic from Foothills Parkway), but the place is pretty sketchy. There was a homeless guy digging around in the laundry room for change one night when I went in. There were about 5 or 6 people (a couple and their kids) crammed into the apartment next to ours, even though it was only a one bedroom. We could hear our neighbor in the apartment behind us talking through the wall, the buildings are old, the parking is horrible, and I just didn't feel safe around some of the people who lived there.....like the crazy lady who was always rambling on at anybody who would show the slightest interest. Actually, the immediate area around the complex is sketchy, too (Tyrol apartments and Osage 100). The positives: the rent is reasonable, they allow cats, and the maintenance crew is good (our oven stopped working and they replace it with a new one in just a couple of days).
