Depends

Since I am not a student, proximity to campus was not as much a concern to me as my roommate. We had a 2B for about $990/mo and I was generally happy with it. If you have quiet neighbors, then noise is not an issue, but sound travels thru the walls easily. Rent is higher than avg, but the place is better than avg.
I decided to get a 1B place for myself last year and stay at the Ridge. No major complaints, but plumbing maintenance required 4 times, heat leaks from the pipes, and early-renewal rates are higher than late-renewal.
