Wow. I had a studio apartment bigger than this one bedroom - bigger kitchen too - for about 400.
The appliances are very old. The oven/stove scares the crap out of me. One of the cupboard doors fell off about 9 months after living here and we discovered that it was never properly installed. Heater' Scares the crap out of me as well. It has a vent of some sort that attaches to an outlet for the warm air in our bedroom. The fans are cheap and shoddy workmanship ensures that one or both of the mechanisms don't work. The outdoor lights in front of the apartments don't ever get changed from what we can tell.
I would like to note that I have only ever had one maintenance person help me - I trust this person to do the job in the most excellent and professional way possible. He has always done a superior job and I thank him. I put 3 stars for maintenance because they are the ones, it seems, responsible for locking the pool, changing lights, and taking care of business. Some of them are the ones letting people into the pool after hours and partying very loudly in the area as well. I have never seen the particular maintenance person who helped me do any of these unprofessional things.
In closing, I told someone who was thinking of moving here about what we have had to deal with - she went to go see the apartments anyway. When I spoke with her next, she thanked me for cautioning her and told me she had decided to move to another neighborhood.
