I didn't really mind the noise or the parties as the walls did block out alot of noise (granted, I lived on an end apartment and my room faced toward Marine St). The biggest problem for me was the long walk to school every morning. My roomates and I were charged an extra $60 for cleaning (the second lowest in the complex for that year), but I cleaned everything before we left--including the oven, fridge, even under the stove. We were probably charged for a lamp that one of our parents broke who promptly paid the landlord so it wouldn't be taken out of our security deposit.
