I have lived here three years in August 2009 and never had a serious problem.
I have seen people fight, drunk kids, cursing spouses and the usual weekend mayhem, but nothing that doesn't happen in similar mixed age, ethnic properties.
Personally, I have not had a problem although there is a small group of young people who get rowdy and destroy things.
One time only, I heard someone throw a rock through a glass window in the lobby downstairs, cut himself and the police were there in minutes. Other times too, the Police quick to respond. They also patrol two-three times a day and night.
Breeds are sometimes restricted, but on a one on one basis.
The apartments are old, some 25 years old, so problems will happen.
The location is great, near to Target, Walgreens, King Sooper, restaurants, gas stations and shops.
Behind the complex is the best Park in Broomfield, acres of well kept lawns, trees and bike/walking paths.
Yes, it's inexpensive, but whenever I need maintenance done, I get it promptly. The Manager is respectful and helpful and the largely Hispanic renters are harmless. There are a lot of children, the play and can be rowdy as children are at times, but I never hear of them being in danger or afraid.
Fortunately, I have never had or heard of friends having their cars etc: broken into or stolen.
As I say I have been here three years and except for what you see in other inexpensive properties with a mixed bunch of people, it's no better and no worse.
I suspect the bad reviews might have come from, in part, people who were evicted. late payers or just trouble makers. Disgruntled at times. Who know.
