I moved from out of state and had a wonderful experience with Marquis, and I don't understand how someone who lived there the same time as me would have a lot of complaints.

Pros:
- Leasing staff: They are AWESOME! Super-friendly and always willing to help out.
- Maintenance staff: Very friendly and they do a great job around the complex (they also fixed our garbage disposal within a day).
- Social activities: The Cares Team always does a great job putting together fun activities for everyone, from Easter parties for the kids to Book club for the adults.
- Facilities: This is also a function of maintenance...the grounds are well kept within the gated community
- Pool and hot tub: 'Nuff said

Cons:
- The security gates are open about 1/2 the time at night...but this is mostly due to negligent residents who try to make it through behind someone else at night
- Just outside the community, people are not so thoughtful about what their dogs leave behind (all in one particular area). I have a dog and usually had to pick up my own dog's mess and someone else's, but this is not necessarily the fault of the community.
- Parking is not in great supply, but you can always rent a covered space or do what I did and get an apartment with a garage. I had two cars and never had a problem finding a spot for the second one.


Overall I think it was a great apartment community to live in, and I don't really understand how you can gripe about noise if you live in ANY apartment (I never had a problem with it...only ever heard vacuuming but that was during the day at reasonable times).

The staff (and I have not seen ANY turnover until this past week, but that was due to a transfer to another location) are great here, and that includes maintenance and leasing agents.

I can't speak for the others, but this community went out of their way to make sure I was happy. I would have no problem recommending this community to anyone.
