I thought my apartment on west side of the complex was awesome. 2nd floor overlooking greenbelt, view of lake and mountains. Was very quiet, but maybe because there was no one next door. I don't know. Grounds were beautifully maintained. General parking looked tight, but I had an attached garage. Finally bought a small house, on advice of tax lady. It's okay, but I still miss the apartment. Only downside was rent increase at every renewal (even after only 6 months) and non-essential reapirs (took about a week to get my microwave fixed). On the other hand, a stopped up drain was fixed the same day, fireplace was turned on the same day, and new ceiling fan was hung for free (Home Depot was going to charge me $80 to do it!). If you're not a party animal, you know not to rent near the pool. And it appeared to me that the west half of the complex was quieter, with older or professional residents rather than students and/or young families.
