Enclosed below is the prior review I'd written shortly after I'd moved in.

I was willing to give a fair chance, having been told that they had undergone staffing changes and a renovation of the property.

Having said that, I can now vouch for all of these reviews' validity.

My rent has always been paid early or on time.

I do not have contact with the "Staff" on any "Issues"

This is based on simple living experiences.

1. There is no parking available after 7 pm.
2. There are buildings on the property with rodent infestation. I spoke with someone who had to move out because of rodent infestation.
3. Maintenance does not fix things, instead they leave a 'note' in your apartment telling you that 1: The problem was a figment of your imagination and 2: The Problem has been fixed.
4. The police have been called on more than one occasion because of vandalism in the parking lot.
5. The police have been called because of "suspicious persons" on the premises and "solicitation" on the premises.
6. Yes. The trains are loud.
7. After snow, the paths are never cleared in a timely manner. They are also not salted, which leaves a very dangerous environment. The management has a Snow Plow TRACTOR which they can use to shovel the walkways. Every time it snows, it is LONG after Noon that they begin to shovel the walkways. (I guess they don't want to wake up early.)
8. Westminster already has a file of complaints on Remington West. (If you want to help make this file bigger, in other words, if you have complaints and you are a resident, call Westminster City and Code Enforcement at 303-430-2400. Let them know what is going on, it's the only way other people will not be in the same situation that we are.)
9. The management office, for which we pay premium rent to have the convenience of, will no longer accept packages in your absence. So these packages are now left at your doorstep, in the piles of snow that "Management" never shovels.
10. In numerous windows and doorways in the complex, there are blankets and towels visible "lining" the ledges. This is because the cold air enters the apartments because the weathersealing is inadequate. In my apartment, any time it rains or snow melts, black mud "splatters" from the CLOSED window onto the blinds.
11. The "Staff" is confrontational when presented with a "Problem" rather than helpful and polite. They will not provide contact for the parent Management Company (Which, incidentally, is Sentinel Property Management)

For these and other reasons, I now fully concur with all the negative reviews you will read here and in nearly every other place you see Remington West.

If you are thinking "It can't be that bad, these people were probably bad tenants," let me tell you that is what I was thinking, and why I moved in despite the negative reviews.

Do NOT Make the same mistake I did. There are a TON of other apartments in this area. Many are newer or have actually been renovated. (Not just painted on the exterior, as is the case with Remington West.) There are options, I'd highly suggest checking them out.
There is a reason why Remington has, in one floor, in one building, 5 empty apartments for the past 4 months.
Ask yourself why that is, and ALSO ask yourself, even if you still don't believe ALL of these people in these reviews (Believe me, I know it's hard to believe)... but ASK YOURSELF: Even if some of them have embellished their sagas, do you really want to put yourself in the situation where you take a chance' I did. I signed that lease and I am now stuck.

At the very least, stop and think. Look at one more place. But avoid Remington West like the Plague the mice in the buildings probably carry.

(Here is my original review, before I'd been exposed to the true nature of this place.)

I moved in within the past few months. (I'm being general, cause they obviously monitor this site, hence the Mary Sunshine Review below.) :)How we found Remington West:So. We toured the area from Boulder to Niwot to Broomfield to Westminster. These apartments were better maintained that a lot we had seen, and are still undergoing "beautification" as older units become available. This, and the proximity to Denver, Boulder, and the mountains, were the main reason we chose Remington West. (Along with Price, of course.) They are fairly priced within the market, and they offer discounts for area employers and lease lengths. That, in a nutshell, is how we ended up here. Why Am I Writing This'We'd researched the apartments before signing the lease, and, understandably, were concerned about some of the things we'd read on this site and others. The purpose of me writing this is... well... boredom. No, seriously, it's because I was so apprehensive after reading some of the stuff out there, I wanted to post something realistic. And... Here goes.Moving In:So, we paid close attention to lease details and did a thorough walk-thru. Our apartment had newly laid carpet, which is always a plus in a rental. The unit is generally well maintained, with the typical dated countertops and cabinets of rental properties. But all are in good working order and nice condition. The apartment was free from odor, dirt, and grime (though I did scrub the bathtubs three times before using them!... Hey- it's a RENTAL!) But all in all, the move in was uneventful, relatively quick, and they were friendly and understanding about having a moving truck parked in their lot.Speaking of Parking:Apparently, management was made aware of the parking problems mentioned in this website and others. Our cars were issued hang-tags to display, and we were advised that they were towing non-residents as a result of improper parking. Excellent. Still, on weeknights, after people are home from work and soccer practice, parking does get a little tight. We've had to search and walk a bit a couple times. Oddly, parking is better on weekends, I guess because people are out later' In any case, it has not yet become an issue.Maintenance:The staff has been friendly, even when pounding on everyone's doors at 730am when they resurfaced the parking lots. (A notice had gone out in advance, to be fair to them, most residents just ignored it, apparently.) The maintenance call we put in was taken care of in a couple days. Office Staff:We've had no complaints about the office staff. We've interacted with a few, and all have been pleasant, and even helpful. Not that they're turning cartwheels and greeting us by name with flowers when we walk by, but they seem nice enough. After move-in... not much contact except to drop off the rent check.Size and Space:The apartments are larger than the two neighboring complexes, and also have full size washer and dryer. (Another reason we ended up here) The new carpet is a nice touch, the space is average to larger than average, but I wouldn't call it "Huge" by any means. We have a King Size bed, an entertainment center, an armoire and various bookshelves and bed tables... they all fit fine. The second bedroom is smaller, but we have a futon and two computer desks in there... a tv stand... small bookshelf... it's a tight fit. Big Plus though: BOTH bedrooms have a walk in closet! Hooray. There's also a closet near the front door for extra storage/coats. (We call it "the Garage"...open that door at your own risk!!) The living room is nicely sized, we have a full size couch, loveseat, and chair, plus large ottoman. All fit and are (amazingly enough, based on past experiences) actually facing the right way for the cable tv outlet and our entertainment unit! (Amazing, the things that impress you in Apartment Living!)Bath and Kitchen:The bath and kitchen are dated as expected, but not obnoxiously-Brady-Bunch style. The appliances all work, the hot water NEVER (and I mean NEVER) runs out (that's just awesome) and the large oval tub is a nice touch...We have the overhead drain mentioned in someone else's review, but we haven't seen it drip, and the maintenance guy told us if it ever did, call him immediately. So it doesn't seem to be a problem. Oh Yeah, The Train.Yep, Remington West borders a train track. A well-traveled one at that. When we have the windows open, we can hear the honk. Well. Make that the HOOOOOOONK....HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK..............HOOOONK. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK. That being said, I've slept through it every night since we've been here. I'm not sure if I am a deep sleeper or if trains don't sound horns late at night. Either way... when the windows are closed and the TV is on... we rarely hear more than a low hum. It could be annoying, if you have kids, are a light sleeper, or don't like noise, It might bother you. It is something to consider. Patio:There's a Patio. Whoopie.Summation:So far, and it's not been that long, we are happy here. We love the location, the apartment is above average, and the hot water rocks. The people (Both the office and maintenance staff as well as our neighbors) all seem nice. Should this turn into a Stephen King novel, I'll update the review. Until then, even the doubtful cynic in me says give this place a go. Unless you have an irrational, mortal fear of Trains.

Although lengthy, this review does seem to be realistic. It is refreshing to read a review that is not exaggerated to the point of disbelief.
