Yes, from the outside this place looks great. It has wonderful views, everything looks new and well kept. Just give it 3 months after you move in & you will notice how HORRIBLE this place really is. Here's my list of its downfalls (in no particular order)---
1. After you move in, you will notice how rude the people are who work in the main office here. Not only in person are they rude, but the memos they leave everyone on their front doors are the least bit professional.
2. Be prepared for the alarms to go off!! I've lived here about a year and the alarms have gone off on 8 different occassions and of course they go off right around bed time or super early in the morning. They will put notices up when the do test the alarms, but they don't even follow that schedule. The last time they tested the alarms, alarms were going off the day after all the testing was supposed to end.
3. Poop is EVERYWHERE so be careful where you step...even if it's in the hallway.
4. This place isn't clean at all. The gym is disgusting...especially the floor. They don't think you'll notice because it's black, but if you spend enough time in there you'll realize they must mop it down and dust it once a month....if that. Stairwells always STINK of animals, poop, and cleaning supplies. Majority of the carpeted hallways stink of animals and trash. I don't think the carpets in the hallway ever get cleaned as much as they should.
5. If you do go on a tour there the leasing agent will mostly likely tell you that there is some kind of gap between the wall of you and your neighbor...so you're not really sharing a wall and that things are relatively quite. NOT TRUE. I hear everything....and my neighbors aren't rude or trying to be loud. They have normal voice converstions and I can hear it. I can also here my neighbors opening and shuting her kitchen drawers, microwave, going to the bathroom, running water, and doing laundry.
6. The swimming pool is gross durning the summer. I've seen young adults in the pool playing around and hocking loogies (not sure how that word is spelled) at each other in the pool.
5. If you live in a court yard area (where your apt faces other apts), the vents that face the court yard are LOUD especially at night when everything else is quite. SO if you do decide to live here make sure your back door faces a street or the mountains. It sounds like a bathroom vent but louder.
6. This place is NOT safe. Fist off, a resident here had their car stolen from inside the "secured" parking lot. Which goes on to my next point that nothing here is secured. All the "secured doors" I use to get myself around this place are broken. None of the locks work so you don't need that special key. I've reported this to the office on 5 different occasions as well as other residents and we all got a response saying that it will be fixed. Ummmmm...no....it's been 4 months...none of it has been fixed.
7.The utility billing here is AWFUL. Be careful so that you don't get ripped off. The first 4 or 5 months I was living here the outside billing company for your utilites was billing EVERYONE wrong. So they sent out a letter to everyone about this but to me it's all still very unclear. I call my billing place once a month because my bill is higher and higher every month...even when I'm out of town!! How does that make sense''' And when you do call the utility company....every person I've talked to is completely rude...well, except for one person and I totally thank him for helping me out.
8. Good luck setting up/decorating your apt because majority of the electrical outlets DO NOT WORK! The main ones do...the kitchen and bathroom lights. But the empty areas...living room, bathroom....nope. I have 4 different sockets in my living room and only 1 works. I think I have 3 in my bedroom and only 1 works as well.
9. Come winter...they are very slow at clearing pathways (sidewalks, streets, garage areas) and putting whatever it is on the ground so you don't slide...especially on the ramp when you're turning into The Summit.
10. There isn't any good insulation in the apts. Tons of cold air gets into my apt from the windows and back door. I keep a couple of towels covering those areas but it doesn't seem to help that much. I even noticed that cold air comes into my apt from one of the sockets!! hahaha...fantastic!
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck with your decison!

I COMPLETELY agree with this review! The staff totally lies to you about the NOISE from living in these very poorly ventilated apartments_NOISE from neighbors BUT ESPECIALLY FROM THE VENTS FOR THE WATER HEATERS THAT THE REVIEWER DISCUSSED!!!! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE IF YOU WANT ONE MOMENT"S BIT OF QUIET!!!!
