So my major dissapointment with the Summit is noise. The walls are paper thin! You would think that given this place is so new, that noise would not be an issue but it is! Every day I can hear my neighbors closing their cupboards and the clanging of kitchen pots and pans. I can also hear their conversations, fighting, music, dog barking - the walls are so thin I can hear their kids burping out loud. I can also hear everthing taking place in the hallways right through my door. And the poor door hinges and gasketing are so poor that doors are constantly slamming shut and echoing down the hallways.
The security is also a joke. It's completely over the top for a suburb community. Every door requires inserting a special electronic key. You only get 1 key so if you put it on your key chain, you have to turn your car off, insert it to open the garage door, then start your car again and drive in once the extremely slow door has opened. Furthermore, I have to swipe the key 3 times just to take out my trash. At first all of this seems nice and protective but after a while it just gets old - especially when any burglar would just have to wait and tailgate somebody with a key to get into any garage or through a door.
Finally, residents are constantly parking out in the vistor parking so there's a never a spot for guests to park.
Overrall I'm pretty dissapointed.
