I lived there for 6 months. I was a good tenant and always paid my rent a month ahead of time. When it came time for me to move out. I talked to the property manager just to let her know when I would be dropping off the keys. She said that I couldn't move out. I asked her why and she stated that I didn't turn in a notice to vacate. I told her yes I had and the conversation got heated. She started yelling and cussing at me calling me a liar and everything else. I told her that not only had I turned in a notice that was written but that I had talked to someone verbally and they told me everything was clear for me to move out. She told me that I never turned in anything and she didn't care what was told to me verbally. She told me that she was going to turn me over to collections and I told her go ahead because I wasn't paying any money for time that I wasn't even living there. Now they are trying to sue me and charge me $1500! By the way the little provision that they put in the lease that people sign saying that the tenant is responsible for their attorneys fees is illegal and cannot be enforced! They are evil people, and I was nothing but a good tenant. Oh, yeah even after 5 hrs of cleaning the apartment top to bottom after moving out they are still trying to charge a cleaning fee. Nice of them isn't it. With Maintenance, my airconditioner went out in the middle of the heat wave. They had someone come out and say it was just the filter. Yeah well it wasn't. They came out again and said it was something with the airconditioner itself, ordered the part and almost two weeks later finally came back to fix it. I have a child and it was awful. Also when I moved in, there was no hose connected to the dryer and the vent. After I turned on my dryer and closed the door the whole room filled with condensation. I had to call four or five times to get someone to come out and put on a stinking hose. Then they didn't do it right, so I had to get behind the dryer my self and duck-tape it so it would stay on because it was to short. I would stay away from this place.

You are writing about an office and maintenance staff that existed over 3 years ago which is a long time. I have lived at The Bluffs for over two years now and think that the staff is great. Maintenace addresses any work orders that I need addressed immediately, and office staff is nice and helpful. I enjoy living at this property and could not be happier. I am writing on this website because it is too bad that it is only the upset people that post on this website. More of the happier residents like myself need to start posting on apartmentratings.com.

First off I posted this years ago. Why apartmentratings.com has the date listed at 2/10/2009 I do not know. So the statement that I have above was the correct statment to make at the time. It was orginally posted in late 2006. Secondly if they have made changes and you are happy good for you. I still stick with my orginal response because when I was there it SUCKED!!! And it ended up in a nasty lawsuit.
