Too much $$ for such an out-dated place

You have to keep prodding to get maintenance on things. Appliances are from the 70's. The sofa sleeper was so bad, we ended up purchasing an air mattress/bed to sleep on. Our fridge never would freeze ice cubes & our food spoiled. After 3 weeks, they got us a new fridge. If you rent for a month, it doesn't include housekeeping!' Cable for your TV is extra. Our TV reception was bad, but they did replace it with another TV. Landscaping is beautiful though, pool is clean. Parking lot is tight-fitting, inadequate and finding space is a problem at times. Cords on the blinds in the living room were rotting & falling apart, they did replace with new blinds. Not to mention, also, that there were already water stains on the ceiling & wall, but after the hail storm we had 2 weeks ago, the ceiling spot is bigger, and there are more leaks and the ceiling is beginning to sag a bit. They did say that an insurance person was supposed to be coming to look at the damages (water damage in most top floor rooms). Update: Roof is fixed and ceiling painted - still water marks on the wall though. Other minor interior deterioration that comes with age old carpet, shower doors come off track easily, hot/cold water temp changes while taking showers, etc.). We were planning on staying here about 3-4 months, but am now in process of checking out something else. Oh yeah, be sure to bolt your door when inside - they have a tendency (several times) to ring the door bell once & if you're not quick to answer, they don't hesitate to use their key to enter! One good thing though - our room will be the best room around for the next clientel.
