When I first moved in, I liked the place, the rent was reasonable and I had easy access to work and the the staff and tenants were pretty friendly. At the end of my second year I can't wait to leave, parking in the complex after dark is a nightmare, especially on the weekend. The staff is friendly enough but as far as when it comes time to renew your lease the policy is "Jack my Price Up", if you have a chance to renew half way through the current lease take the offer otherwise they will screw you over. I just went today to turn in my 30 day notice and they reminded me that I signed off in the contract to notify them 60 days out, well I forgot and they did not bother to post a reminder of the 60 day notification requirement. Now I am stuck with paying for an extra month at the current market rate of 880! If you do rent there get the top floor so noise problems will be minimal. This could be a great rental property but the management is all about nickel and diming the tenants.

Your upset because YOU forgot a term in your lease that you agreed to and because they didnt remind you of it.. What.. Should they every couple of months put a note a door to remind you to give a 60 day notice.. or some other lame clause in the lease. Rental housing prices are going up all over even with the current recession, people cant get houses so they have to rent.. rent goes up.. You expect your 2005 rent to always remain the same, has to go both ways, bet you want to continue to get raises from work yet I bet they want to keep your income the same.. you want things to go up, they want things to go up. Also, dont blame the management, blame the management company. Management is just doing there job just like you, me, and everyone else.
