The owner here is very money hungry. My husband and I are struggling and living paycheck to paycheck. Witht the way he gets paid, it makes it very difficult to get the rent in by the 5th which is the deadline. We have no problem paying a late fee when we're late, but they don't even give you a chance to get the payment in!!! If your rent isn't in by the 5th you can bet you'll get a 3 day notice by the 7th. Then they tack on their $210 attorney fee and get ready to kick you out. The office staff have no people skills and they are VERY RUDE!!! On top of all that drama, they don't even keep the place up like they need to. We've had 2 doors come off the hinges. The toilet always floods and we have a TERRIBLE leak under the bathroom sink! The door in my son's bedroom has to be slammed in order to shut. The cabinet doors are coming off, and so is the doorknob to my daughters' closet. All this happend in the first 3 months!! I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE!!! Especially if you're a victim of the poor economy and are having trouble with finances. They have no sympathy for anyone and are only concerned about lining their pockets.

Rent to me is just like a paycheck. How would you like it if your employer decided they didn't have enough money to pay you for the month but stated that they would make it up to you later with a late fee? When you move into a place you are expected to pay rent. I was a struggling family once and the last thing I did was move in to a place where I couldn't afford the rent!!! I have lived at Carefree for a while now and get along with ALL the management VERY WELL. Have you ever actually went into the office and talked to them about your work orders?? I completely disagree with this review!!
