Wow. I lived here several years ago and while it wasn't fancy, I don't recall it being quite as bad as they say. Then again, it was several years ago.

Made the big mistake of just dropping off the keys when I left and not having them do a walkthrough (I was in a hurry), so I got to "enjoy" not only having none of my deposit returned, but actually getting a $700 bill! Half that was rent they said I owed them (I didn't and I had the receipt) and the other half was for cleaning/ repairs it didn't need. The place was cleaner when I left than it was when I arrived!

Same thing happened to me, but they said they were letting me out of my lease since I was leaving the state. They gave me no deposit and a bill for $2500
