DO NOT LIVE HERE!

My father lived here, he also died here.
The management company wouldn't allow me into his apartment to remove or even catalouge his belongings. I was listed as the emergency contact even.
He wouldn't believe that I was who I said I was, when I tried to press the issue (not raising my voice) he told me I would have to calm down and lower my voice or he would call the police to remove me.
I called the police myself. They still would not allow me into the apartment even with a police escort to catalouge my fathers things. I am certain that they removed 2-3 very expensive firearms from his apartment before letting me in almost 10 days later. When they finally allowed me in (after I had my lawyer contact them), the so-called senior property manager actually threw the keys to his unit at me.
They then told me I had just 2 days to remove all his belongings or they were going to change the locks and charge ME (yes, me personally)a FULL MONTHS rent.
They were disgustingly rude, avoided my phone calls, and threatened to call the police on me (lol, too bad I knew the majority of CSPD Officers working that division at the time) all for wanting to get on with the ugly and heartbreaking task of cleaning out my fathers apartment.
I took my time in moving his things out, and since they didn't have my SSN, they couldn't attach and monies owed to me. As the executor of his estate, I have recieved many bills trying to get me to pay for things that I know for a fact were not wrong when we turned the keys back in. Almost 2 years later, they are threatening me with legal action.
Good luck.
I have pictures and LEO's that were witness to the treatment that I was given and the condition of the apartment the last time I locked the doors.
If they treated me like that at one of the worst times in my life, how do you think they are going to respond to you when you call to tell them your AC has broken'

So sad this happened to you. This has totally deterred me from even looking at these apartments. I would sue the corporate management/apartment staff for theft of your father's property. Just when you think you've read it all about rude, unprofessional apartment "managers", another awful incident like this comes up.
