Do NOT move in here!

At first I thought this was a nice place to live...spendy, but ok. Then I had a family emergency where my husband and I had to move, and they wouldn't let me out of my lease (even after over a year and a half of living here). The blatantly lied to my face when telling me that we would be first on the list for something who wanted to rent a one bedroom. A couple weeks after this I saw someone moving into a one bedroom. Also, my car has been broken into twice in the overflow parking lot. I had to park here because the parking is horrible. When I complained they said I could pay $100 more a month to get a garage. Basically, they try to pack everyone in to a certain section of the complex so they are forced to get a garage or else walk quite a distance. Also, the lock broke on our apartment and my husband and I got locked in. After calling the emergency maintenance 4 times, I still didn't get anyone to answer. Did I mention that I'm 8 months pregnant. Jumping over the railing of the deck of a two-story apartment building is not my idea of a good idea. Overall, the management is horrible and has no compassion, lies, and has no business ethic. The apartment is way overpriced and you don't get what you pay for.

Lease agreements are legally binding contracts. You read it, you signed it...so whats the problem? If apartments could just "let people out of their lease" then people would do it all the time. Furthermore, they cant steer people into leasing your apartment just because its convient for you. Thats against fair housing....they could be sued. Im sure they presented all of the available apartments and let the prospect pick for themselves. And no, I dont work there, but Im allergic to ignorance. Amazing how just because something doesnt go your way, suddenly they dont know how to do their jobs...right lol.

This is a very ignorant post. Why in the world would they just let you out of a lease, that i why when you sign a lease they state what the breakage fee would be! Have you never rented before? Its very true what the apt guru stated about the fair housing act! If they let you out of the lease with no penalty they could let everyone, not to mention people would just lie about having a family emergency to break their lease! The apts couldnt ask for proof either because that in itself is a fair housing act. maybe you need to be more educated about the topic! the world doesnt revolve around you!
