Steer Clear From: aphoenix Date posted: 5/15/2008 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2004   I lived there for over 5 years and in that time the apt was never painted, repairs were long overdue and then done poorly, mice abounded every fall, the carpets which were in poor condition when I moved in were never replaced as promised, and despite advertising as handicap modified the only modification was wider doorways - not a grab bar in the bathroom or modified kitchen. To finish it off, when I moved out at the end of my lease and after giving notice that I was not going to renew again, they sent me a letter saying that I skipped out and trying to charge me 1800.00! I was told that the entire apt was going to have to be refurbed due to all the years it was not properly maintained and not to worry about clean up when moving. Now they are using that as an excuse to keep my deposit. If this is luxury housing, they must have redefined the word "luxury".
