We had a mice in our Apt. We trapped one w/a sticky trapped, 3 wks later, we had another one. We had a 3 mos lease, after our lease ended and before I sent our notice to vacate, I asked if we were going to incur extra fee since our 3 mos lease ended. I also stated on our vacate letter that I will pay our rent on the day that we move out. If there was something they didn't agree with in regards to my notice to vacate, they didn't give me a call. On the sixth of the month, we rcvd an eviction notice if we didn't pay our rent, a late fee, and a month-to-month fee. Extra fees came up to almost $120.

Just because you say you are going to pay your rent on a certain day doesn't make it due that day. They don't have to call you. Read your lease. Oh guess what? mice come into houses also. Who's fault is it then?

The last response totally sounds like it was written by Karin Brinkley. Stellar job that ----- did! She was more interested in screwing residents (literally and figuratively) than offering any source of professionalism.

Sounds fishy to me. YOU can't over ride YOUR lease with a vacate notice......dumb a--.
Sounds like they were lucky to get rid of you!
