Do you people really have nothing better to do then complain about every little thing that doesn't go your way' You are renting an apartment, not buying a brand new house. You're just mad because the girls in the office inforce the rules of the lease, and thank goodness they do, because it gets rid of jerks like you! The girls in the office are awesome, they always take care of whatever we need and in a timley manner, if it's going to take longer then 24 hours to get something done, they always let us know. And are you really going to complain about the streets getting paved' It took 4 days and they broke it off into sections, god forbid it rained and they were delayed by 1 day, get off your lazy ass and walk two feet to your apartment. And who ever wrote the comment that lived here over 5 years ago, let it go already. Those people probably don't even work here anymore.

This place is not brand new, but by far has the best customer service hands down. For an older property this place is very nice, & well kept up. If you violate your lease that's your problem and you shouldn't be here anyways.

Thanks girls (Kristal & Wendy), for making this a nice place to live and regulating all the people who think it's okay to do whatever they want.

Wow, which person in the office wrote that, or was it an admirer of "the girls"? Thanks anonymous, for taking a stand against the rest of the people who had a bad experience with the Commons! Now, perhaps you can show a thing or two to those heathens who complain to the BBB about companies they felt treated them wrong. This site is meant to review and tell your experiences about places you have rented from, not blast those you don't agree with. If you think the place is great, post that. Nobody needs your rant, it helps nobody...

Anonymous: Oh yes, they respond quickly and perform quick and poor fixes for the myriad of problems that existed when we moved in. You are right - I will be moving out into my new house, but the reality is this. I've had many rentals with far less problems for far less money than I've had here. Heck, my screens blow off when the wind blows. But I'm not having maintenence back into my apartment. Since my posting maintenence came to do work while I was out of town. My neighbors and others have documented well that maintenence was onsite Monday morning and that MY EXTERNAL GARAGE DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN AND THE INTERNAL DOOR UNLOCKED FOLLOWING MAINTENENCE until Tuesday at 8:00PM when my children spotted it riding with their Dad and closed it. This DID GO DOWN AS A BURGLARY and that can be verified with Colorado Springs Police Department. BURGLARY BY NEGLIGENCE of apartment staff. That is grounds for the apartments to be sued and for each employee in a direct upline of the maintenence staff of the contractor to be held PERSONALLY LIABLE as well. This is a BREACH of THEIR agreement to us. Incidentally, I did try to talk to the apartments about this before I contacted other parties that "might want to know" and was told that Wendy wanted to talk to me but that I needed to "come back at a better time for her". How would YOU react after coming home and finidng items missing including your garage door opener, being a single female and having 2 small children to having to come back at a time "more convenint" to the property manager? She was sitting right there when I went into the office but needed to "walk the property" just then. I didn't go back. I had to sit at my apartment and wait for CSPD to show up, list fraud alerts on my credit bureaus, shuffle bank accounts and credit cards... find someone trustworthy to reprogram my garage door. I want everyone to know that IT IS NOT SAFE TO LIVE HERE IF YOU HAVE MAINTENECE PERFORM WORK WHILE YOU ARE NOT AT HOME. If you are at home it will usually only mean 2-3 shots to get things right, after you locate the staff which seems to be rarely in the office during appointed hours. Hey, if it involves anything with water, don't be prepared for that to get turned back on any time in the future. Lastly, Dear Anonymous, you are apparently not familiar with THE RENTERS BILL OF RIGHTS in Colorado. I can name several violations of that which include not having advertised facilites (such as a hot tub) available in a resonable amount of time to repair. It's been nearly 3 months since the hot tub worked here and you may not enjoy the pleasure but I have spoken with several older couples who NEED that to alleviate their arthritis. Bottom line, it may be fine and dandy for you, but YOUR opinion is HARDLY THE ONLY OPINTION. We all have different opinions and experiences. Perhaps you should realize that the world here at The Commons nor elsewhere revolves around you. And, yes, PLEASE do come clean. Do you work for the commons or do you have a "relationship" with the girls in the office? I must ask because in the 25-30 residents I have talked to thus far, your opinion is highly isolated. The attributes you list for The Commons are most of the tenants complaints.

To disbelief01: I'll go you one better...a former employee of theirs actually used my renter info (Name, SSN etc) to set up telephone service and then ran up a bill she never paid!

I think you guys do need to grow up and get over it. You live in an apartment, not everything is going to be perfect all the time. If you want everything the way you want it, go buy a house and then fix your own crap and the only one you can complain to is yourself. And you can't expect the office staff to drop what they are doing to be at your beck and call. Do you drop what your doing at work when you are in the middle of something? Maybe their are working on another issue with another tenant, did you ever think of that? Guess it doesn't matter because YOU are the important one, not anyone else. Seems that someone has issues with selfishness.
