Complex is like any other apartment complex. Neighborhood is a bit rundown and can be 'ghetto'. Bus line is close by and runs hourly. Location is convenient in respect to driving and highways. Neighbors can be noisy and crazy in respect to domestic disturbances. There are car alarms going off constantly and you hear helicopters and sirens all the time, 24-7. Cops patrol or are here for disputes on a daily basis. We were given two keys; one for our front door and one for the building door. Never used the building door key(supposed to be for safety, but it's always open!) and about two months ago, someone broke it and it has never been fixed. Mail comes M-F 12-4 PM depending on how late the mail is running. Saturday, the mail is usually here by noon. The apartments themselves, you get what you pay for. Watch out for interesting plumbing sounds and dishwashers that mysteriously leak. Also, cabinet bottoms can be flimsy or uneven and shower tiles can come down from the wall. One last thing, our sliding glass door lock only locks when you slam it and then, lock it. The laundry facilities need attention. Small washers/dryers that don't clean very well. Must call laundry company to get them fixed because the management here don't care. It's 75 cents a load to wash or dry. If you can live with all these things, you should be all right. Things are not too bad and if you're military, you're close to Fort Carson. We live on a second floor. Had no problems with the air conditioning unit. Doesn't cool the bedroom very well though. The fan in the kitchen/dining room attracts dust like a magnet. Very big ORDEAL to clean it. As far as the balconey, the paint is chipped and cracked and you can get splinters in your feet. Watch out for protruding nails! vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
