STAY AWAY!!!!

Fox Fire apartments seemed like a good deal at the time, but the hassles in dealing with the management, other tennants, and daily police cars in the complex was not worth the money my sister and I saved by living at the complex. From the first day i started moving my belongings into the apartment I did not feel safe. I was confronted by two very disturbing current tennants and management did nothing to make the area safer. Pet deposit is outrageous and non-refundable. Repairs were not made in a timely manner. Other tennants had a problem of no heat, we had too much heat. After 4 trips to the managers office to turn the heat down we were finally told of a shut off valve that would limit the amount of heat into the apartment, this was three months after the first request for heat to be turned down. We were running the AC in the middle of February to maintain a comfortable temp in the apartment. The policy of picking up after our pets was very strenuously explained to us and said that there was a 0 tolerance policy for animal waste left on the grounds, but as far as we could tell we were the only ones picking up after our dogs. One of the maintenance crew even made a point to thank us for the courtesy of picking up after our pets. Overall the experience was not a very good one. Upon moveout our utility bills jumped almost 25% from the previous month and a repainting charge was subtracted from our deposit. We left the apartment in better shape than we found it and feel like we were cheated by this company. For anyone that is interested in a cheap place to live pay the extra money a month and look somewhere else. Villages East is only slightly higer in rent and much higher in the quality of living.
