Some good, some bad

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
When I first moved in, the buildings across from me were being built so the grounds looked terrible, but I was told they would be done in 2 months. It took about 6 to 8 months before it was all cleaned up. I always found ample parking, but I did notice on the backside of the complex, the parking was worse. The mailboxes did get broken into twice.
I was late with the rent once (by one day) after paying on-time for over a year. I didn't get a eviction notice, but I had to pay $50 late fee. I tried to negotiate with them since it was only one day, but they said it was policy and wouldn't budge. On a good note, I paid $400 for a pet deposit and did get most of that back when I decided that I couldn't have a dog in an apartment.
The apartment was somewhat noisy. I had next door neighbors that liked to play their music loud and downstairs neighbors with a subwoofer and a love of Star Wars.
The reason I moved out was to be closer to my new place of work, otherwise I'd probably still be there mostly because I hate moving. The check-out went ok, they dinged me $25 for a dirty oven, but I swear they always try to find something.
