I am a current resident of Highland Park Apartments. For future renters please do not consider this a place to establish a home. The managers are disrespectful, extremely hard to work with and are inconsiderate of their residents. Maintenace is slow and I had a broken toilet for over two weeks before they came to fix it. Safety is horrible. I have gotten the windows broken out of my car twice, and my Jeep has been broken into once. Are apartment was broken into once, and the management does not do anything to help the residents feel safe. They are constantly doing construction, which makes for a noisy day as well as being right next to union. Parking is O.K. Overall I would encourage renters to stay away from these apartments, the staff and management are unprofessional and very disrespectful. Go somewhere else!

If you just read the above review, disregard it. I don't know what this person is talking about. I'm a current resident of Highland Park and I love it. The apartments are very nice and the location is awesome. I'm close to work and school and I love the residents as well as the staff. This person must have some kind of coarse personality to not like Adrianne, Renee, and Aaron in the office. They are always nice to me and love to joke with residents. They are very friendly. As for the crime complaint, just because it happened to him doesn't make this place unsafe for everyone. It's easy to see this person is just bitter, as shown by only negative, hateful comments. I wonder if this person is planning on leaving based on their concerns? Where are they going where there is no crime? Concerning maintenance, Tiffany does an amazing job to bend over backwards for the renter. I have had a couple maintenance problems and she did it the same day. Well, I guess I want to balance out the previous spiteful review with an encouragement to rent here. I like it. Don't listen to this tripe!

once again! what looks to me like a user response from management. trust me- highland park is NOT a nice place to live. i've lived in several apartment complexes and never had as horrible an experience as i did at highland park.

I live here, yes things break, yes you can sometimes hear your neighbors, yes you have to pay fees when you are late paying rent, just as you would when you pay your mortgage late. Sounds like this person has never owned a home before which causes much more headaches then living in an apartment. Trust me, in the real world you will have more things to be mad about, why waste your time or their's for that matter?
